This is a specialist BPC preparation program, not a training college. We provide specialised mentorship to prepare experienced tradies for registration with the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC), formerly the VBA. We focus on small group training (max 10 students) with personalized teaching.

We help you understand the Acts, Regulations, and Standards needed for your specific builder class registration. Our small classes allow personalized attention to fill your individual knowledge gaps.

Adrian Nicolazzo is the owner and lead trainer of Qualify Pro. He's a Registered Building Practitioner (Unlimited), with Commercial Licence (Low-Rise), Qualified Carpenter, and has been training builders since 2017. He's worked in all positions from carpenter to builder across industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

We're based at 5 Scanlon Drive, Epping (Melbourne, Victoria). Group courses are delivered in person in Melbourne in small groups. There's also a private one-on-one option delivered online via Zoom for people who need scheduling flexibility.

Our courses range from 6 to 13 weeks. After completing training, you'll be prepared for the BPC exam. BPC's processing time then varies by application.

We keep classes small — a maximum of 10 students. This allows us to personalize teaching and address each student's specific weaknesses.

All programs include training materials, 600+ practice questions and answers (450+ for the carpentry course), Acts & Regulations guidance, application and portfolio preparation, and BPC exam preparation.

Yes! Our most popular program, the Evening Builder Course, runs 1 night per week, 5pm–9pm, designed for working tradies.

The minimum depends on the class you're applying for: at least 3 years working under a registered building practitioner, across a minimum of 3 projects, for Domestic Builder (Unlimited). Domestic Builder (Limited) classes such as carpentry each have their own experience requirement — ask and we'll confirm what applies to you. Requirements also vary by individual circumstances.

You need the trade qualifications for your specific builder class, technical references from registered builders, and an evidence portfolio. We can help guide you through what's needed.

Yes. Every program includes application preparation, portfolio development, and guidance through the BPC portal process. The Carpentry Licence (DB-L) course covers application guidance and portfolio support; its Application Prep Package add-on adds complete form assistance, reference coordination and submission checking.

Technical references from registered builders (same or higher class), evidence portfolio of your work, and proof of your trade qualifications. We help you prepare all of this.

The exam covers the Building Act, Regulations, Australian Standards, and practical knowledge for your specific licence class. It is reference-based, so you work with those documents rather than answering from memory. We provide 600+ practice questions and answers (450+ for the carpentry course) and mock tests to prepare you thoroughly.

The exam is reference-based — the Building Act, the Regulations, the NCC and the relevant Australian Standards are all available to you. What it tests is how fast you can find and apply the right answer, so preparation focuses on knowing your way around those references. Working through the practice questions and answers is what builds that speed.
